Being in a profession of trust and responsibility, commitment to excellence is indeed important for a Chartered Accountant.
As the number of members is increasing, the onus of maintaining the dignity of the profession is becoming more challenging. Each one of us should strive to establish a brand CA, which imbibes in it the quality of trustworthiness, perfection and integrity.

The forthcoming events of the Branch include:
A Seminar on Direct and Indirect Taxesand a Seminar on Service Tax and VAT.

We are also coming out with monthly Newsletters for Members and for Students. But, due to lack of articles, we face difficulty in compilation of the same. The Members and Students are requested to take the initiative and contribute articles for the same. The articles can be mailed at siliguri@icai.org with name, Registration/membership no. and photograph.

Students and members are requested to update their details at the Branch’s website www.icaisiliguri.org.

I would also take the opportunity to wish all the best to all the students appearing for their IPCC/PCC and Final Examinations. I sincerely believe that all of you have left no stone unturned in preparing for your examinations and will come out with flying colours.
